Salmon populations in many areas are declining. There are many contributors to the decline including logging, dams, overfishing, climate change, pollution, and disease.
So, what’s this got to do with birds? Researchers and wildlife biologists hope to identify restoration practices to improve conditions for salmon, as well as enhance bird habitat. Co-benefiting both the salmon and the birds!
Please join Lorenzo as he presents about his work with salmon restoration and its impact on birds. Lorenzo was awarded a scholarship by The Wildlands Conservancy in partnership with the Scott River Watershed Council and worked as a summer intern in Etna, California.
This is sure to be a interesting, educational and fun presentation!
