Explore the rich diversity of bird life that inhabits the Ventura Settling Ponds. We will walk about 2 miles total (at slow birding pace) along flat dirt trails. This birding mecca provides habitat for all kinds of birds, including warblers and sparrows in native shrubs, ducks and gulls on the ponds, herons and egrets on the water’s edge. In addition to being one of SoCal’s best locations for Yellow-crowned Night-Heron, you never know what you’ll find at this special place. Bring a hat, sunscreen, water, and binoculars.
