Leader: Dessi Sieburth

Please join us for a field trip to Blue Ridge Road, on the eastern side of the San Gabriel Mountains. We hope to see a variety of montane species such as White-headed Woodpecker, Dusky Flycatcher, Clark’s Nutcracker, and more. The area recently burned, so chaparral species such as Black-chinned Sparrow, Green-tailed Towhee, and Fox Sparrow may be present in higher than usual numbers. The trip will entail about 1.5 miles of walking on flat ground at above 7000 feet in elevation, and driving along a dirt road.
